Top 100 Iphone 3G Missing features

Apple iphone is a device which has taken people by storm all over the world. I have seen pictures of people camping, days before actual launch, outside apple store to grab their iphone. If features mentioned here are included in the iphone, it may cause even world war with countries fighting to grab their phone.

This is the list of features that I would like to see in the iphone, in the near future, to make it, the best phone in the world. But at present, the list of missing features is much more than the offered features.

Out of features mentioned here, more than 80% are those which you will find in other smart/cell phones. Rest are new technology or web apps which are already or may in near future will definitely find way to iphone through App store.

It may not be possible for anybody to prepare such a comprehensive list of desired iphone features. You will find sites listing 10 missing features at the most. If you spend much time you may come up with 15-25 features missing in iphone. So, I sincerely hope you will value effort in this.

This list belongs to all of us so please help to populate this list, so that, it grows and grows and reaches Apple or Steve Jobs one day.

2. User replaceable battery - You cannot change batteries yourself at present.

3. Adobe Flash support - when users browse through Web pages it will displays empty spaces with missing icons

4. Java compatibility

7. Bluetooth A2DP support

8. Cut Copy Paste across applications

9. Support a landscape-oriented keyboard system wide

10. One-button dialing - Even though I’ve added my friend to my Favorites list in the iPhone’s phone section, calling him requires 3 or 4 steps:

19. Alert Snooze - When an alert sounds it beeps only once and then never goes off again. There is no snooze if you catch the alert, you can just dismiss it.

20. Skype/VOIP application -need to have some form of VOIP on iPhone.

21. The disk-use option - there is no supported way for an iPhone to be mounted as a hard drive.

22. SMS caching messages - So that it can send later, once it's back in a service area.

23. Notes application syncing - Allow syncing of notes with an existing tool such as Outlook in Windows or Mail in OS X.

24. Notes deletion - Unlike other interfaces on the iPhone 3G, you can't delete items from this list, instead you'll have to open a specific note and then choose the delete icon from the bottom of the screen.

25. Unified e-mail inbox - There's no way to get all your messages from Yahoo, Gmail and your business account all on one page.

26. Ringtone customization - You cannot set SMS alert tones for your boss or your best friend.

27. Auto-complete function - The present auto correct doesn’t usually suggest until you almost finish typing a word.
